Since returning from Tokyo I have enjoyed three restful weeks at my new home in the Lake Como region. Here you can appreciate two contrasting lifestyles; being along the waterfront as well as being high up in the mountains, with only a brief yet winding road separating the two beautiful locations. It is very different to where I grew up but I feel lucky to be living in such a stunning place.
After what I consider a very long break from my last ballet class I am looking forward to attending a week of summer school at Ateneo Danza, near Rimini. The course includes professional technique, repertoire, pas de deux and contemporary classes plus a performance on the last day of the summer school. The course has been running for a few years already but I have only been to Ateneo Danza once before for a weekend masterclass with Frederic Olivieri (Director of La Scala Ballet School) back in 2007.
Bring on yet another new dance experience!
