Next Sunday I return to school to commence my final term at White Lodge following an enjoyable three-week Easter holiday. I can hardly believe that five years at this school will soon be over, that’s almost one quarter of my life so far!
Summer terms have always been the highlight of the year throughout my time at White Lodge, but this year in particular will be a special one. The challenging Spring Term, which was packed with auditions, assessments and competitions is now out of the way and all the Year 11s know in what direction their training is going for the next three years. April through to July have in store for us busy rehearsals, academic exams, Royal Opera House performances and our much anticipated Graduation Ceremony.
Many memorable occasions are to come and we will make the most of our final moments at White Lodge, which we have perhaps taken for granted during the tough yet rewarding journey we have been on in the past few months.
I still have plenty of revision to do before next week-end in preparation for my GCSE exams so better not make this post too long. However I am looking forward to seeing the National Ballet of Canada in Romeo & Juliet at Sadler’s Wells next Saturday as an end of holiday treat, I’m sure it will be a motivating kick start to an exciting Summer Term.
