Natalia Osipova at The Royal Ballet

Breaking news in the ballet world: Natalia Osipova to join The Royal Ballet.

This announcement has been anticipated by many. Following her recent performances with The Mikhailovsky Ballet in London, I’m sure I wasn’t the only one hoping to see her again soon.

Her first appearance as a Principal of The Royal Ballet is at the start of the 2013/14 Season, where she will be performing in my favourite ballet – Kenneth MacMillan’s Romeo & Juliet. Following a guest slot in the October run of Swan Lake, she will once again be dancing along side Carlos Acosta. Start booking tickets!

Hopefully when crossing the Bridge of Aspirations into the Royal Opera House canteen each day for lunch next year, there will be a chance for me to meet this outstanding dancer.
