Support & Encouragement

Prisca_Bertoni_08_12-154 CrossProcess2013 has started in a very positive way with donations from two unexpected sources. Just knowing that there are people who believe in me strongly enough to give their support in this way brings home the seriousness of the point at which I have reached in my training.

My parents have always encouraged and supported my passion and determination to become a classical dancer. I am fully aware of the financial and personal sacrifices they have made since I first left our home in Italy to train at a vocational ballet school nearly six years ago. Each month my grandpa, who turns 85 next month, puts aside a large portion of his army pension to help pay for piano lessons, pointe shoes and for treats such as tickets to ballet performances in London.

There are many others I wish to thank. Since starting this blog last June I have been surprised at the positive feedback and support it has received. I feel very lucky to have gained three wonderful mentors from different areas of expertise and I have learnt the importance of stepping forward into the limelight by writing about my life as a dancer.

  1. We do it because we love you and have such admiration for you above and beyond dedication to achieving your goals. Can’t wait for June and the graduation.
